  Economic capital of China, Shanghai is becoming the favorite place for Westerns luxury brands. However, these flourishing malls (IFC Mall, Plaza 66, K11…) do not attract Shanghainese and are, most of the time, empty.

A few clients are present in these stores and the vast majority of consumers come from other cities and move to Shanghai for their shopping. The Huaiha Avenue and the Nanjing road (seen as the Chinese Champs Elysées) are the streets which have the most of luxury brands in Shanghai.
