In 1990, the artisan shoemaker Pierre Corthay opened House Corthay specializes in custom-made and ready-to-wear shoes.
Immediately recognized for his talent, in 2003 Monsieur Corthay received the distinction “Talents of luxury and elegance” then in 2009 the Master of Arts award from the Department of French culture. This award recognizes “la crème de la crème” of French artisans, Pierre Corthay remains to this day the only shoemaker to have received this award.
