IF I WERE TO…
Spend a day in a Parisian park, I would go to the Jardin d’Acclimatation.
If I were to spend a day in a Parisian park, I would go to the Jardin d’Acclimatation.

✦ A Personal Memory
Created in 1862 and now listed as a historic monument, the Jardin d’Acclimatation has long been, for me, one of the most beautiful ways to escape and recharge within Paris.
I have childhood memories of going there with my parents. And then, for many years, I did not return — until I became a mother.
When my son was six months old, I brought him there for the first time, to see and touch the goats. From that moment, it became a ritual. I would take him every month, until he was eighteen months old — whenever we were in Paris, of course, and whenever the park was open.
✦ A Place That Evolves
A few years ago, the park was acquired by the LVMH group, ensuring its long-term preservation.
Just nearby, you will find the Fondation Louis Vuitton, and soon, the future museum as well — creating a unique cultural and experiential ecosystem.
✦ A Park with Many Faces
The Jardin d’Acclimatation is a place with many layers.
There is a beautiful garden — I believe Japanese or Korean — a sense of calm, and at the same time, a vibrant energy.
The park offers around sixty attractions. My personal favorites are the roller coaster, and more recently, the Grand Dragon.
There is also a country club within the park, led by a talented chef. The food throughout the park is of very good quality.
I particularly enjoy going in winter, to have one of their fresh soups — butternut or zucchini — made with simple, good ingredients. There are also timeless classics, such as the lentil salad with poached eggs.
Everything is fresh. Everything is well thought out.

✦ Atmosphere
What strikes me every time is the atmosphere.
People are kind.
The staff is attentive.
There is a sense of ease.
Even when it rains, it somehow still feels bright.
There is something almost magical about this place.
For me, it captures a form of French elegance — and perhaps even a French version of dolce vita.
Everything feels simple. Natural. Balanced.
✦ A Living Experience
There are small shops throughout the park, offering thoughtful souvenirs for children — soft toys, small objects, creative pieces.
You have access to animals, nature, small rivers. You can visit the goats at certain times of the day, walk freely, and move from one atmosphere to another.
In a way, it feels like traveling through a small country within a single day.
✦ My Perspective
For me, it is a form of luxury — one that renews itself every time.
Each visit is different.
Each visit brings something new.
✦ In Practice
Whether you go alone, as a couple, with friends, or with children, the Jardin d’Acclimatation is a true gift you can offer yourself.
Le Jardin d’acclimatation is located Bois de Boulogne, Rte de la Prte Dauphine à la Prte des Sablons, 75116 Paris, France. Here is their Google Maps page.
Au plaisir,
